I can relate. I have had hepatitis C since 1988. I had been misdiagnosed 4 times. I googled my symptoms and ordered a bunch of tests, including hepatitis C, which turned out I had. I was offered Interferon and Ribavarin. No thank you.My doctor said you probably wont feel differently anyway. He was wrong. I found a clinical trial for generic medication, which I took for 4 months. I am genotype 3a and it is more resistant. I had had debilitating fatigue etc. After treatment I felt like my old self

I was in the same place as you were, only after 4 months interferon almost killed me. Either way I was so sick. Finally, I was accepted as a trial candidate for Harvoni. Within 12 weeks, no viral load. I was blessed. But the stigma is real, people shying away, people flat out saying "I didn't know you were a druggie" The feelings were almost as bad as the disease. This group helped me so much to understand. I am forever grateful.
