In observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month, I am posting to this blog daily, highlighting websites and organizations that are doing remarkable work educating the public, raising awareness, and making a difference in the lives of those affected by viral hepatitis. I suggest you visit each site, and find out what they are doing, how you can stay informed, and possibly help with their efforts.

It seems fitting to feature the Hep C Alliance on Memorial Day weekend, a time to remember those who died fighting for their country. Fortunately for us, Army veteran Bruce Burkett survived the trials of war, going on to found the Hep C Alliance in 1999. (Read Bruce’s HEP Story here.)

The Hep C Alliance is a community focused nonprofit organizations with a mission to create awareness through providing education, testing and support for the detection, prevention and treatment of hepatitis C. Bruce is known nationally as an active, highly-respected hepatitis C advocate.

Bruce, thank you for your service, in and out of uniform.
