That you don’t see how offensive your comments re: gay men and trans people are is unfortunate. You don’t have to use derogatory terms to be offensive. Sometimes it’s how you use groups and issues important to those groups that is offensive.

Thanks Ryan for respecting my right to speak, it's important. I do assume ANY comment about Gay Men and Trans people are offensive to some, that is EXACTLY my point. Just saying gay men is bound to piss somebody off. In fact, I didn't say anything derogatory or disparaging about gay or trans people and yet your offended, case in point. That's why we should avoid these issues. I do understand that Hep-C is deeply connected to discrimination, injustice, stigma, & inequities. Its why we advocate.

You are terribly wrong, but I respect your right to say it. You don’t seem to understand that your comments about gay men and now trans people are offensive, not to mention your failure to grasp a simple connection between racial injustice and health inequities faced by many communities impacted by hepatitis B and C.
