In observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month, I am posting to this blog daily, highlighting websites and organizations that are doing remarkable work educating the public, raising awareness, and making a difference in the lives of those affected by viral hepatitis. I suggest you visit each site, and find out what they are doing, how you can stay informed, and possibly help with their efforts.

Liver Health Connection is the new name for the Hep C Connection (HCC), an organization that has been around for many years. HCC was founded in 1995 by Ann Jesse, and now it is under the direction of Nancy Steinfurth.  For many years, HCC was the only organization that you could call and talk to someone.  It modeled the idea of “patients helping patients.” They have continued this by participating in the national Help4Hep helpline.

This year, HCC expanded its focus to that of all liver diseases, thus renaming itself Liver Health Connection. Check out their information and events at Liver Health Connection.
