I completely agree the medication provides some sense of security. I've been on meds for my HIV for 19 years and I know as long as I keep taking them, my viral load stays undetectable. I have heard of other people who are cured of hep C, paying for annual tests because deep down they can't quite believe it is gone. I think this is a reality we must all face - that even when you have SVR, hep C will always be a part of your life and you need to find something to do with that. Hopefully people like you will continue to advocate for others who don't have a voice.
