Have a friend on this treatment (Viekira Pak/Ribavirin). He showed with no detection of Hep C after his blood test after week five. However, he missed a dose last night. What does a person do if they miss a dose. He took his regular does this a.m (the 3/3 pills). Should he have taken the 1/3 pill regime he missed last night?

it didn't say how long the pill taking part was, just 12 weeks after test . how long do you have to take meds.

Hi Ken, Good question. In a case where a dose is missed, don't take any extra to make up for the missed dose, keep to the regular schedule. Call the doctor immediately when you realize a dose has been missed to let them know and ask their advice since they know your condition best. Try to write down and chart each dose, keep pills either in a pill container or out with notepad where you will see them often. Cell phones can be set to an alarm or with a charting system to help patients keep up with meds. What ever system works for each patient.
