Mardi, good luck with your treatment. If you haven't already, I highly suggest joining the Hep Forum - lots of wisdom and experience there!
I will be starting in a few days. A little nervous. I don't want to suffer side effects. I hope this stuff works.
I've posted here before and have great news. After completing an 8 week treatment with Mavyret and having the 3 month testing after completion I am now totally clear of the Hep C infection I have had for over 20 years. Thanks to AbbVie!
People tend to be more prone to blood clots whenever they have any serious illness, injury or surgery that forces them to be inactive. Do you have the results yet?
My husband had HepC for 28yrs, got liver cancer within the 12wks of taking Harvoni. He was blessed to be transplanted w/in 8mos. The Hep flared, expectedly, from immunosuppression. He’s at 3mos. post op and 6th wk on Mav, now has portal vein blockage. Getting needle biopsy to rule on cancer. Can’t find ‘blood clots’ in any side effect info. Have any information on that??
Fantastic!!!! You are very well likely on your way to complete freedom from hep C.
Finished the 8 week treatment of Mavyret a week ago with zero side effects. I went, had lab work done and the results show not detected after 20+ years with Hep C. I'll have the PCR viral detection test done in 7 weeks to verify the complete results of the Hep C. Many thanks to my Doctor and AbbVie for allowing me the patient assistance program!

I was so fearful of beginning my 12 week treatment. I didn't want to suffer from any side effects. Once I mustered up the courage and took the plunge, I was glad I did. Only minimal side effects of headache and fatigue on the first few days. The remaining weeks were a breeze. I am now undetected. I thank God and the manufacturer for this miracle drug.
