Webinar: Hepatitis C Treatment Access in U.S. Prisons: Legal and Policy Challenges
Join us for a webinar on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM EDT.
Treatment Action Group (TAG), Hepatitis Education Project (HEP), and the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) are pleased to present this update on hepatitis C (HCV) direct-acting antiviral (DAA) treatment access in the U.S. prison system. We invite activists, community groups, providers, and other interested individuals to learn about newly available treatments, drug pricing in the prison system, key lawsuits, and legal tactics designed to expand access in correctional settings.
Join us for an update on current DAAs and treatment trends (including cost/pricing), an overview of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recommendations for HCV elimination in the United States, and legal challenges to obtain HCV treatment in prison, as well as actions participants can take to support vital health care for incarcerated individuals.
Please share with your networks, including those in HIV, HCV, harm reduction, and drug pricing policy spaces.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
