2016 International Symposium on HIV & Emerging Infectious Diseases
The general theme for this new edition is ‘Fighting Deadly Viruses Around the World’.
New emerging, or re-emerging viruses threaten our life and, as HIV appeared 30 years ago, these uncontrolled micro-organisms are spreading worldwide due to our very connecting way of life. The most dreadful example is the Ebola epidemics. However, other viruses seen as ‘benign’ can also be a threat to our health and life, like hepatitis E, coronaviruses, flu strains…
ISHEID remains centred on the problematic of HIV and HCV but has to open its horizon to these new threats such as bioterrorism which is another threat in a world with increasing chaos and obscurantism.
As usual, we will gather the top international leaders in these fields to bring you updated state-of-theart lectures. Sessions are also dedicated to free oral presentations and posters selected among the best received abstracts. Satellite symposia from industry partners are most welcome to present their
scientific data and research – not marketing centered – which will be approved prior to ISHEID by Steeringand Scientific Committee.
The selected abstracts will be published in the Journal of Virus Eradication, which is available online at www.viruseradication.com
