Nucleoside Analogs

Ribavirin is rarely used in current HCV treatment. However, combining ribavirin with some of the HCV direct-acting antivirals boosts cure rates in people with cirrhosis and reduces the risk of relapse. Ribavirin is not effective against hepatitis C when used alone.
