I'm a 61 yr old male with have genotype 1 diagnosed in 1993. I tried interfuron 3x in the 90's. I recently relapsed after the virus went undetected while on clinical trial of Incivek, interfuron and riba. I am praying for you and will do so everyday until Nov14th. I now am a kpotential candidate for Gilead clincal trials of sofo, and 5816 for those that have relapsed. I hope to find out today if I meet the criteria. My last labs revealed ast 55 atp 98. My viral load was 486 k 1 month after stopping th incivek in April 2013. I suspect it is much higher today. Your updates give all us hope! May the good Lord reach out and touch you and all those that are afflicted with this terrible virus. I also pray for the doctors and researchers. I just want to be healthy again. Thank you and Good Luck!!!!!
I have heard that in order for one big pharma company to make their money on a patent, the new Gilead drugs will be first submitted as a 3 drug approach using the 2 gilead drugs AND Interferon. I have waited and waited and tried to get into trials since I am now past 3/3 stage of cirrhosis. Have you heard this, too?
Tim, thank you so much and the best to both you and your lovely wife. I am improving day by day and starting to feel like my "old" self. I am so grateful to you and all of our friends who stood by us through this long ordeal. I pray that soon Hepatitis C will be completely eradicated with safe and effective drugs that have minimal or no lasting side effects.
This is fantastic! Prayer and hope is very powerful!!! I'm so happy to see that you are doing better. I sincerely hope the FDA approves the combo... Tell Gary I said "Hi". He's my bro you know!

I wish you the best, Margaret. I just read an article that in Europe under a compassionate law the use of Bristol Myers and Gilead drugs is being approved for people who have one year to live. You were on the right track with your petition. Let's hope that these pharmaceutical companies can work together to bring drugs on the market faster and cheaper to save people's lives. Interferon is a killer drug. From someone who went through the Interferon and Riba combination for 54 weeks and failed. No more interferon.
