Hi Andrew, Thank you for sharing. I am sorry you are having to deal with all of this. I understand, I dealt with Hep C for 20 years and the issues that came with it. You are absolutely right, many times our faith is built and becomes stronger through adversity. In spite of adversity there are great blessings. Very well put Andrew! I found through some of my hardest times when I focused on those things to be thankful for, those blessings, God strengthen me to carry on. He helped me do what I could not do on my own, by His strength, not mine. He helped me to see His fingerprints were all over my life despite adversity. I asked Him to help me see things from His perspective and when I couldn't see, I asked Him to strengthen my faith. In 2 Corinthians 5:7 in the Bible it says, "We walk by faith, not by sight." For me personally, I found that to be an intentional trusting act and true in many ways, especially in living with Hep C. Andrew you will be in my prayers. I pray treatments open up very soon in New Zealand. We are keeping our eyes on reports. Keep us posted on how you're doing. We're here for you. God Bless you my friend, Connie

Yes. Thank you Connie. Your message is so eloquent, and is such a thoughtful - and relevant, expression of faith. I have, and need faith to get by, too. Every day. Faith is a miracle in my life - and has largely grown, I think, because of adversity: because of trying to cope with, live with and deal with the virus. I don't think I am very well. It's been like this for a while now: in 'chronic active' mode for close to eighteen years. The new treatments still look a way off, here in New Zealand. ... And yet - there are so, so many blessings, aren't there? Once again, thank you for you lovely and inspiring words.

Hi Marissa, Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry to hear your little one has this. Depending on his age, there are treatment recommendations the specialist will be able to help you with. New treatments available have very high cure rates and less side effects than older treatments. Here is a scripture that has brought great comfort to me: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8 Keep me posted on how things are going. I will be keeping your little one and family in my prayers. Blessings my friend, Connie

Thank you for the encouraging words as we start our journey. Not knowing what to expect for our sweet baby boy is incredibly scary for me, but God is with us. He has his 1st appointment one week from today, praying for answers and peace.
