My experience seems to be completely different from others that I have read online. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program. My doctor submitted the paperwork and I was approved within 24 hours. Normally I would have used the Caremark mail order option for a prescription due to a lower co-pay option but everything was handled by the Walgreen’s located in the same medical complex as my doctor. According to the paperwork, the retail price for 28 tablets was $37,803.79. My insurance saved me $32,803.79. I had a co-pay of $5,000.00 but Walgreen’s had a co-pay assistance card that covered all but $5.00. What a deal, right?
