Have you been disillusioned by God and feel like He’s doesn’t really care? You may have had a prayer that you felt was unanswered. Life has taken a turn you didn’t expect, where was God? So you drifted, not physically but spiritually. You may be faced with a life crisis and you need help, perhaps it’s worth the risk of turning back to God.

You want to believe but what’s stopping you? Doubt, anger, the list of “why’s” in your life? They may be directed at God, but yet you want to believe. How can you overcome unbelief and have peace? The answer is simple really, it’s found in God’s very word in Mark 9:24 NIV, an honest answer from a man in need, “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief!”

Pure gut honesty. God knows you inside and out. But the act of faith and honestly to lift up to God with a full heart, “help me overcome my unbelief,” is the first step in walking in faith and trust through whatever your going through. You’re not alone my friend. You may think you are, but you’re not.

God is in fact reaching out to you. His hand. His heart. His life, is reaching out to you. All you have to do is look up and grab hold.

Human faith is never perfect. The honest prayer for overcoming unbelief is appropriate for all people. Have faith above all in Christ for in John 14:1 NIV. Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me.” All God is asking is to let Him help you in the direction He knows is best for you.

If God brings you to something, He’ll help you through it. He has a plan. Trust Him.

You will again be able to say, “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13 NIV

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

Have you dealt with a difficulty lately? How can we pray for you? We’d love to hear how you’re doing today.
