Today is National Hispanic Hepatitis Awareness Day. Testing is a fundamental step towards treating hepatitis C, but because the virus is often asymptomatic for years or even decades, many at-risk individuals, including Latino Americans, are not screened. Research from suggests that Latinos are less likely to get screened than the general population even in the presence of other known risk factors.
