WorriedMom -Saw your post & wanted to reach out to you. Glad you are going to have an MRI. Note that the Epstein Barr result is unlikely to be related; practically everyone tests positive EB. The lesion may be totally benign, as that is another common occurrence. However, the blockage needs a solid diagnosis, and yes, these are usually fixable. And I assume your doc will have you follow up with repeat labs to see if those titers need follow-up or just an artifact from all that is going on.

Went to ER got pain in side. Ct showed vein to liver severely blocked. Portal venus disease. Referred to gastro Dr. Then lots of labs. Labs were all normal except a positive Ebstein Barr with positive SNA & ANA with low titers. Found a lesion on liver. Niwgping for an MRI. NOT a drinker! Forty two yrs old. Just wish I knew what this was & is it fixable?
