Mrs. Ford, First and foremost, hello and welcome! God Bless you for you posting and being open about your condition. I understand how hard it can be at times to be open and honest about these matters, so I commend you! Since I'm a hemophiliac, they weren't able to do a proper liver biopsy on me because of my bleeding disorder. So, they performed a FibroSure blood test to determine blood markers for liver fibrosis. I was somewhere between 2-4, with 5 being the worse. Given my bleeding disorder and low factor levels, this blood test also was considered somewhat skewed as it determines clotting factors, proteins and blood chemical markers, so the best guess for me was a stage 2 or 3 fibrosis score. I am currently taking Sovaldi (once daily tablet), and Ribavirin 800mg daily (2 tablets morn/night). I once treated with the full dose at 1000mg of Ribavirin in 2006, I can developed Neutropenia, (low white blood cells anemia) around week 17 of my 24 week therapy then. So the decision was made to try 800mg this time around, so far, so good. Of course I'll pray for you, I wrote your name down in my daily prayer journal, and will lift your name up every day. There are awesome treatment options out there with non-injection therapies, and I would talk to my doctor about a possible Olysio and Sovaldi combo. Those two oral tablets alone boast an over 90% cure SVR rate for Geno 1-3's. Please stay in touch, and I pray that you will trust enough in God to deliver the right docs, the right meds, the treatment at the right time. Your battle has already been won, you just can't see the end the your race yet to see when the healing comes. And remember this, God owes you nothing but He offers you EVERYTHING! In His Name, Joe
