Hepatitis Elimination Projects in the United States. Updated May 9, 2019. Details of map are provided on this page.

Every May, the United States and the global community observe Hepatitis Awareness Month. This year, the HHS Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases Policy (OHAIDP) invited partners and stakeholders to contribute to a growing list of hepatitis elimination efforts across the United States. The map features projects at the local, state, and national levels. This resource can help organizations identify efforts that they can join and expand support for U.S. elimination efforts. It also raises awareness of the growing number of states, local jurisdictions and non-governmental organizations that are setting their sights on achieving the elimination of viral hepatitis among the populations they serve.

This resource will be updated regularly. If you are part of an established hepatitis elimination project and wish to add your project to the map, email Corinna Dan at Corinna.Dan@hhs.gov with the name of your project, a brief description, and links to the project website, press release, or other available online information.

To help raise awareness and easily share accurate information and action steps, OHAIDP released a series of mini-graphics with key viral hepatitis messages that partners can leverage in their communications efforts. The graphics include topic areas for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, opioids, and vaccination, and are paired with important calls to action. We encourage you to download and use these graphics throughout Hepatitis Awareness Month and beyond in your regular hepatitis-related communications.

The National Viral Hepatitis Action Plan emphasizes the importance of coordinated and collaborative efforts across stakeholders. This month, and throughout the year, we invite you to join us in highlighting efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis in the United States and in sharing consistent hepatitis messages and calls to action with your audiences and the public.
