Deb, Dang it. I hate it for you honey. Keep reading cause I know where you're coming from and break it down step by step in blogs as I went through it. Update: I went on a transplant list. We kept the tumor shrunk with chemo and TACE. I got my new liver 9 months after we discovered the HCC. This is really scary stuff. But your transplant team will walk you through it. Stay in touch and ask any questions that aren't covered in a blog. kk? Huge Heartfelt Hugs, xo Karen:)

So sorry to hear this and wish you the very best. I just found out that I also have HCC and I am spinning. I don't know anything about it and I am trying to learn as fast as I can. So ironic that I am almost done with my 24 week treatment of Harvoni and now this... :( I hope to read more about your battle What is TACE? What is Chemoembolization ? What does it take to get on a transplant list? So many questions Hugs and blessings Deb

Judith, Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm pretty tough, but the TACE put me out of it. Still weak, but managed a litte yoga today. I had to use pain meds and got the zoney brain! I'll be finding out the results in a few weeks! Wishing us both luck! xo Karen:)

Richard, It's totally cool to see that your TACE worked. I'm waiting to hear how mine went. My MELD is about 22. I've got to get banding n colonoscopy before they will actually "list" me. So many tests! You got listed fast! xo Karen:)
