Hi Britt - Lucinda Porter answering this question for Connie - yes this is common. Liver damage can suppress cholesterol. Also, sometimes it spikes after treatment is over. Have your doc recheck in 6 months. If it is high, your doc will suggest a low fat diet. Isn't it lousy to have one problem fixed and another pop up! At least this one you can do something about.
Great article and now six weeks post treatment I will get back to my trainer. Question: before S/R/I my cholesterol level was 109 now it has sky rocketed to 239. Have you ever heard of this problem.

Hi Britt, Yes, in fact I experienced this same problem myself after treatment. I worked on my diet toward eating very healthy, took a garlic supplement daily and started my walking again. My cholesterol began dropping and I was able to get it back into normal limits without having to take prescription meds. I agree with Lucinda, this is something we can change for the better. All the best to you. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Blessings, Connie
