In observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month, in May I am posting to this blog daily, suggesting ways to help raise awareness about issues surrounding hepatitis C.

The 2015 Hepatitis Testing Day is set for Tuesday, May 19. You may be wondering what this event has to do with you. Everything. Last year I asked some of the top hepatitis C advocates in the US, “What can people do to promote hepatitis C awareness?”
Alan Franciscus, founder of the Hepatitis C Support Project and editor-in-chief of the HCV Advocate, said this, “I challenge people to commit to telling 10 people about hepatitis C and ask those they tell to tell 10 others.”
Math tells me this can make a huge a difference. Urge everyone you know who was born in the years 1945 through 1965 to be tested for hepatitis C.
