In observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month, I am posting to this blog daily, highlighting websites and organizations that are doing remarkable work educating the public, raising awareness, and making a difference in the lives of those affected by viral hepatitis. I suggest you visit each site, and find out what they are doing, how you can stay informed, and possibly help with their efforts.

Project Inform began in 1985 when HIV was overlooked and underserved. Now, Project Inform “fights the HIV and hepatitis C epidemics by assuring the development of effective treatments and a cure; supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health; advocating for quality, affordable health care; and promoting medical strategies that prevent new infections.” Project Inform participates in the HELP-4-HEP helpline and offers a litany of services.

Project Inform is a national leader in the fight to advocate for those with viral hepatitis. They also concentrate their efforts in California and the Bay Area. Project Inform’s staff is top-notch and leads the clarion call.
