Said he had to wait 30 days for thc to be out of his system and so when we go back in Oct to start the process they now tell us he has to give 3 negative screen's over 90 days before ins will pick up he's so sick he may not make it how can I get them to go ahead with the process
My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis & hep c about 3 yrs ago & due to a misunderstanding of info @ the time he decided not to go with treatment @ the time the Dr that diagnosed him sent him the medicine through the mail & @ the time he was on anything & everything under the sun but they still sent him the meds. Now he's finally got cleaned & is in a clinic to stay clean & has went to a new Dr to get a 2nd opinion it was confirmed he had it only this time (which was in June)
Sounds like you need some help gaining approval for Harvoni. I suggest: Call Help4Hep and ask them for assistance: 877 Help 4 Hep (877 435 7443). Contact the Hep C Careline - www.hepatitisc.pafcareline.org 1-800-532-5274. Join the Hep Forum http://forums.hepmag.com/
I have been trying to get on Harvoni for year and its very hard unless you have CA$H. I even asked the local CVS pharmacy. They have told me that they have seen people take out loans on there homes to pay for it because in no way shape or form was there Health Insurance. I was told insurance wont pay until its at a certain stage. I think thats crazy!! Why not cure it now before its spreads to someone else. I hope we dont have to wait for a GENERIC form.
All I know is what I saw in the news: http://www.denverpost.com/2016/09/01/colorado-to-expand-coverage-for-hep-c-patients-but-some-still-wont-get-the-expensive-drug/ This would be a good question fot the HEP Forums http://forums.hepmag.com or Help4Hep and 877 Help 4 Hep (877 435 7443).
Can someone please help? Does anyone know if Colorado medicaid covers Harvoni? thank you.
I have hep c and am on medicaid, however I can get NO clear answers as to whether medicaid will cover harvoni in Colorado. Can anyone help?
