I know what you are talking about. I just found out yesterday that I have a small tumor on my liver. I also have stage 4 cirrhosis and this is the result of the Hep C. I am being referred to a Transplant doctor. You have to take one day at a time and live normally not allowing circumstances to wear you down. I am confident that God is looking after me and so am not afraid of the future. AS I tell my children of this news I am trying to stay positive for their sakes. They have lost their father due to cancer, a mother inlaw for one of them to breast cancer. They do not need another blast from me. I hope this is a reminder for them that life is short and what you do every day will be remembered by someone even if it is just a small thing. As Lucinda said we need to show our kids how to handle trials that come our way.

Your honesty and openness astound me - true marks of bravery and integrity. I believe that one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children is to show them how we manage our trials, and to be real, and to stand tall, with no shame. Bless you!
