Grace

One of the things HCV and facing my prospective death taught me was to plan for it! I have my will in order. I have a power of attorney and have appointed an enduring guardian. I have filled out an advance health care plan. Not only that, I have a notebook in my bottom drawer (everyone knows where it is) with how I want people to manage things like my death and funeral. Sure this might seem morbid to a lot of people. But I watched my girls grapple with the death of their father, who suffering from terminal cancer, left no plans and indeed never talked about his illness. The family were left to guess what his wishes might be. No one has ever been unaware of my wishes while I'm alive, I see no reason to change that once I'm dead.
