Hey Rick I googled the 80K polymorphism and see why you are having such a hard time. I have never been biopsied. So my stage four was judged on my esophageal varices which required banding and other outward signs of decompensation. ( I think the brain abscess counts as a ascites ) Good luck my friend. I love your blog BTW!

Me too. I responded well to Sovaldi and Ribavirin. I was ineligible for interferon. Something I am not sorry I missed. I was wondering why your virus is so onery. My count went from 1.7 million to zero in about a week and my enzymes were almost normal in the same amount of time. When I first presented I was decompensated to the degree that they thought a transplant was iminent. My low white count allowed a bacterial infection to get a foothold in my head and I had to have brain surgery to remove the abscess and basically had to learn how to walk all over again. The liver is a funny organ. I assume you have HE. I am treated with Lactulose for mine and for a while had xifaxan too. I hope my success is catching and am sending you good wishes.
