I got Hep-C from a tattoo in the early 70’s. I was not diagnosed until 2005! Many people who got Hep-C from tattoos, got the tattoos way before there was any idea that Hep-C existed. Someone needs to do a study of people who got tattoos before Hep-C was discovered. I was cured by Harvoni (I was one of the first to get it) after nearly dying from Interferon & Ribovirin, but it still destroyed my health. Now I’m in my 70’s and I’m unable to enjoy life the way I expected to. It is evil.

I think there are a lot of lurking variables here. There may be a cause and effect here, but finding a correlation doesn't mean there is cause and effect.

HepBird, different states have different regulations about tattoo artists. You can't be assured any tattooist has gone through any training.
