I was totally shocked when starting the paperwork for Harvoni I was informed I was NOT SICK ENOUGH! This is like me telling Gilead's CEO that I can't rescue his drowning child because the water is not deep enough. Requiring that the irreversible effects of cirrhosis was not "bad enough" that firther testing was required. I was stage 4 and at death's door. I appreciate the fact that Gilead afforded me a "financial co-pay " however Gilead signed contracts with 90 countries for cheaper access.

I did have a problem getting the medication Harvoni.I was denied from Anthem Blue Cross. I filed a grievance with them and was denied again. Filed a complaint with the Independent Medical Review Board and they overturned the denial and I received my medicine 5 days later. Do not take no for an answer.
