I am a Sovaldi ridasphere renal patient with hep c. I do better than most at dialysis but we proceed carefully. I am a strong willed 61 yr old who started treatment in march. We are slowly increasing the ribasphere and may prolong treatment, we'll see. In june we increased ribasphere 1400mg per week and watching. I am just admitting some of the side effects but my viral load had been zero since April 2014. I do keep up with all testing and labs. I also see my cardio man on a regular basis.
I am genotype I and have been taking solvardi, olysio and ribasphere. For the first four weeks my only side effects were minor fatigue and morning headaches. But the almost overnight, going into my fifth week I a, experiencing headaches, slight fatigue, slight cough, muscle and joint ache , sore throat and slight cough. Is this difference in side effects due to the hep c medication or perhaps a summer flul like symptoms? Should I be concerned?
I have failed 3 attempts at clearing the Hep C virus, do you have any data on how how this drug will perform? I know it has great results in first time treatment, but can't find any data for non responders. Thank you

I have been lucky enough to be receiving this new dual therapy. I did a 48 week treatment in 2007 and it came back. Then a year or so back,I tried again with the addition of bosefprevir. After 14 weeks I stopped treatment. It was just too brutal because.I'm on this new treatment now and I have really no side effects except fatigue. I'm 65 and diabetic so that may be the cause the fatigue. It is hard to believe that this isn't a placebo. In my opinion, no need for the interferon anymore.
