You should be scared! 1 reported case? HA! Since you can have it for years before you show symptoms how can one know when they contracted it! I personally know someone with HepC that went to nail salons to dig out his ingrown toenails which caused alot of bleeding. This place was always busy and unkept so I doubt very seriously they had the time or inclination to clean instruments properly! Unless it's a upscale place, I'd stick to the Lee press on nails!

I don't think you are overreacting, just being super cautious .After all , hep c is the silent one, and you might not know you have it. If you go to a shop that does a lot of business or it isn't very clean ( unsanitary ). Just like the tattoo shops , you just never know. Only one case reported, like I said, you don't even know you have it.
