The San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital is giving out free vaccines to a number of patients, employees and visitors who may have been exposed to hepatitis A, Examiner.com reports. An individual at the hospital was recently diagnosed with the disease and potentially exposed hospital patrons from April 5 to 25. Health officials are urging anyone previously not immunized who was at the hospital during this time period to get the shot immediately. The hep A vaccine is only effective if administered within 14 days of infection.
