I was infected at age 18 (1970) from IV heroin use. My liver tests were always elevated, but not "too badly". They started raising in the early 2000s. I was put on a regimen of interferon, Ribavirin, and Incivek. I had horrible side effects; nausea, had to go to an ER several times, and finally was taken off the treatment with no change. A few years later I started Harvoni for 90 days; now it's been 9 years and the virus is undetectable. Have hepatic scirossis, esophageal varicies but alive
