There is a lot of propaganda going around the internet that “90% - 97% don’t mind disclosing their sexual orientation” AND “having it noted in their chart.” Just on its face, that level of comfort from patients doesn’t actually make any sense. Unless someone is transgender, there is absolutely no benefit to the patient for the practitioner to know the patient’s sexual practices. If the patient is healthy, let them be. If they come in with a complaint, treat the complaint.
