My son who is 39 is in a hepatic coma and the hospital and Madison UW (I'm assuming) will not provide a transplant unless he regains consciousness and commits to post alcohol treatment program. I don't think this gives him much of a chance and I think it is cruel. He is a native american and part of the Ho-chunk Nation.
