An oral surgeon from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is being investigated because one of his patients without known risk factors other than receiving dental treatment recently tested positive for HIV and hepatitis C, ABC News reports. Wayne Harrington, DMD, was a Medicaid provider with a high proportion of patients living with either virus. The Oklahoma Board of Dentistry allegedly found numerous problems at his practice, including rusty instruments, after a surprise inspection. About 7,000 patients may have been exposed.
