I was able to get into a trial study using Gileads Harvoni. Received my transplant on Thursday, November 12th, 2009. The HEP C virus came back strong within the first year leading to chirrous returning to my "new" liver. I was taking off Prograff & put on Rapamune, not friendly drug causing cancers & strokes, so I could start Interferon & Rivarin. After only two weeks of taking the regiment, the doctor ordered a stop for I could fall into a comma. After three weeks of Harvoni I was HEP C FREE.
