This is an important issue and obviously everyone should get the best treatment available. Clinicains need to be able to prescribe the most appropriate treatment. But from what I've seen the side effect profile of Harvoni is not much different to Viekira Pak, especially for people with mild-moderate liver damage. It will be interesting to see what happens in Australia where insurance companies are not involved.
