I recently finished a 12 wk run of Viekira Pak (2x per day, 1every 12 hrs) for 12 weeks. It is a combination of 2 drugs in one pill. And also Ribasphere (2x per day) for 12 weeks I followed this regimen for the whole 12 weeks and according to my blood test no hep C enzymes were detected. I got back in 6 months to have another blood test for verification. I'm so excited.

My husband is a liver transplant patient who has been treated three times for his Hep C infection. The last time was a 6 month Harvoni treatment. He was undetected for the virus within two weeks of starting treatment and then throughout the remaining six months. He reached 12 weeks SVR and we thought he was cured. However it was not to be. The virus returned several weeks later. He is now waiting for another treatment yet to be approved. This virus can be very hard to beat.
