Why would the panel recommend interferon therapy when it only boasts a 65% cure rate and has such difficult side effects. We need insurance companies to cover the more effective 95% cure rate of sofosbuvir and simeprevir off label and the panel should recommend this better treatment to help affect the cause of insurance coverage. It seems unethical to recommend an inferior treatment and not in the best interest of the patient.
