The World Health Organization (WHO), the World Hepatitis Alliance and the Coalition for the Eradication of Viral Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHAP) have unveiled the Global Hepatitis Network in an effort to prompt international collaboration to stem the spread of hepatitis worldwide, Devex reports. The network plans to act as a support team for global action initiatives in raising awareness, mobilizing resources and providing screening, care and treatment for the more than 500 million people worldwide living with the virus. CEVHAP officials are currently seeking international donors and nongovernmental organizations to help fund the initiative.
