China’s Food and Drug Administration has suspended the sale and distribution of several hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccines after two people died from potentially contaminated shots, Xinhua News reports. Recent warnings from the Chinese government claim two batches of suspicious vaccines produced by a Shenzhen–based company have since been taken off shelves in Hunan, Guangdong and Guizhou provinces. The local drug administration in Shenzhen also has been ordered to investigate the company.
